Free for All Friday: Rebecca

So, I just finished watching the movie. If you have ever seen it, you would not be surprised that I thought it was an amazing movie.

This is Hitchcock’s first movie made stateside, and his only (ONLY?!?) Best Picture Winner.

But what intrigued me most about this movie was its strange parallel to…Beauty and the Beast. However, this is the dark version. Both movies center around a new couple with perhaps a blossoming romance, but a dark secret keeping them apart. I was also a fan of the wonderful characters and the gripping twists in the plot.

If you haven’t seen it – watch it. This is a classic that just does not get enough attention – especially among Hitchcock movies.
