Kings: Guns, Germs, Steel, and Brains?

Just got out of class, where we discussed a few more chapters of Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs, and Steel.

Diamond is quick to say that there is no link between the living standards disparity of today with intelligence of different people through the ages.

Well, this might be an issue of semantics, but I cannot help but think that different people think in different ways. Is there no room for the enlightenment of religion, or for the differences in culture?

I chalk it up to another scare of scientism.
