Kings: A Real Greek King

Epaminondas was “the first man of Greece.”  So imagine my surprise when I found out about him about two weeks ago!  If you have never heard of him, I recommend following the link here to spend a little (or a lot of) time reading up on this interesting character.

Especially interesting to me was his strategy against Sparta – cut off their supplies, and starve the beast.

Perhaps I missed this class in college where he was discussed (I never took Western Civ) – but from what I can tell, he certainly seems to be a model for modern leaders.  A true king is prepared with a strategy for the future.
